Welcome to an Xbox free zone...

This blog was started as an allergic reaction to my dedicated Xbox gamer boyfriend's relentless gaming...

Tonight is gym night....

I really am too shattered to go.  I can't decide if it's best to go and struggle or to rest tonight and deal with our busy day tomorrow as it comes.

Tomorrow Matt and I have to repair the fence, which involves hiring a van from B & Q, getting the panelling, some concrete (components) and managing to use our "superior" DIY skills (read none) to fix it.  If we manage to do it, it will not cost us too much.  I will also feel much better knowing that the house is more secure.

Jeans arrived from Debenhams today that I got in the sale.  They're miles too small (all my other size 16 jeans fit...) but I'm going to keep them as a "target" pair of jeans.  They were a really good price and it would seem a shame to get rid of them.

I'm hopeful for my first weigh in tomorrow.  I've had a few sneaky weighs and the signs all indicate that I'm doing well, I just hope that it'll stick.

The good things this week are that we've had delicious meals all week, I've not really felt too hungry, I've enjoyed cooking and finding recipes that suit the mad list of things I can and cannot eat, and if I'm losing weight also it's good news all around.

Matt has now started on the new Assassin's Creed.  I wonder if this will be another 6 month game.  His friends and he have a website called www.pixel-junkies.co.uk where they post reviews about games etc so I should imagine that there'll be a review of some kind coming.  It has been a little quiet of late, but I gather that there is going to be a resurgence in effort and possibly a more blog-like style to it.  I'll keep you posted.  Perhaps any readers can go there and persuade him that gaming should give way to happy-ever-after films, and making tea for his girlfriend.  Just a thought...

Well, it's Friday night and I'm sat typing in an anti-social manner.  I think that I shall go and talk to the cat.  He seems just as fed up with the gaming as I... or at least I assume so from the way he has perched on Matt as best he can, looking for affection.
