The Iron Lady

We got back late from a lovely night out in Bradford last night with Gav and Ali - we had a really tasty curry at Omar Khan's (although I've discovered ordering in a restaurant with Weightwatchers / fodmap is a tedious affair that involves having to explain why you literally cannot eat anything!!)  I had to concede and have some onions in the food, but it was worth it as it was DELICIOUS!!  We had a few drinks at G & A's before heading home (not via the closed M621)  We didn't end up going to bed until 2am though, which meant a long lay in this morning!!

Today has been a lazy day, with very little gaming.  We've done our week food shop, which is significantly more expensive than our usual shop but no matter.  After a little hoovering and the usually clearing of the washing pile, we decided that we'd go to see The Iron Lady at the cinema.

I didn't expect it to be such a touching film.  It's less about Thatcher's political legacy and more about her personal struggle from the perspective of her with dementia.  It's really interesting and brilliantly acted.  So a thoroughly enjoyable movie, and well worth a view.
I think the most touching part is the portrayal of the relationship between Maggie and Dennis.  It made me sniffle a little bit.
And I didn't eat any popcorn - I took a tub of banana slices and blueberries with me.  Pleased with myself!
